MettaMe Inc. ("Company", "we", "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share your information when you use MettaMe.ai. This policy complies with Taiwan's Personal Data Protection Act (個人資料保護法, PDPA).
1. Information We Collect
We collect several categories of information: (a) Account Information — name, email address, phone number, and profile details you provide during registration; (b) Authentication Data — login credentials and data from third-party sign-in providers (Google, LINE) including your LINE user ID for notifications; (c) Wellness Assessment Data — your responses to the wellness quiz, AI-generated wellness profiles, recommended specialties, and assessment history; (d) Booking and Transaction Data — session details, practitioner interactions, payment information, booking history, and cancellation records; (e) Communication Data — messages sent through our in-app chat system; (f) Usage Data — browsing patterns, feature usage, device information, IP address, and analytics data collected via Google Analytics and Meta Pixel; (g) Referral Data — referral codes used and referral relationships.
2. How We Use Your Data
We use your personal data for the following purposes: (a) to provide, operate, and improve our platform and services; (b) to personalize your experience, including AI-powered wellness recommendations; (c) to process bookings and facilitate payments; (d) to connect you with practitioners and enable communication; (e) to send transactional notifications via email and LINE regarding your bookings and account; (f) to analyze usage patterns and improve our services (via aggregated, anonymized analytics); (g) to prevent fraud, enforce our Terms of Service, and ensure platform safety; (h) to comply with legal obligations under Taiwan law.
3. AI and Wellness Data
Your wellness assessment responses are processed by AI models (including Claude by Anthropic, GPT by OpenAI, Gemini by Google, and Qwen by Alibaba) to generate personalized wellness profiles and recommendations. This data is sent to these AI providers' APIs for processing. We do not use your wellness data for advertising or sell it to third parties. Your AI-generated wellness profile is stored securely and used solely to improve your recommendations on the platform.
4. Data Sharing
We share your data only in the following circumstances: (a) with practitioners you book — we share your name and session details necessary to provide the service; (b) with payment processors — to process transactions securely; (c) with AI model providers — wellness assessment responses for generating recommendations (see Section 3); (d) with analytics providers — anonymized usage data via Google Analytics and Meta Pixel; (e) with email service providers — for transactional email delivery (Resend); (f) with LINE — for push notification delivery; (g) when required by law — in response to legal process or government requests under Taiwan law. We never sell your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.
5. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on Supabase infrastructure with servers located in secure data centers. We implement industry-standard security measures including: encryption in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest, row-level security on database tables, secure authentication via Supabase Auth, and regular security reviews. Despite these measures, no system is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. Specific retention periods: Account data is kept until account deletion; Booking history is retained for 5 years for tax and compliance purposes (統一發票 requirements); Wellness assessment data is retained until you delete it or close your account; Chat messages are retained for 2 years; Analytics data is retained in aggregated form indefinitely.
7. Your Rights Under Taiwan PDPA
Under Taiwan's Personal Data Protection Act, you have the right to: (a) request access to your personal data; (b) request correction of inaccurate data; (c) request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements); (d) request that we stop collecting, processing, or using your data; (e) request a copy of your data in a portable format. 8. Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies for: (a) essential functionality — keeping you logged in, remembering your language preference; (b) analytics — Google Analytics 4 to understand how our platform is used; (c) advertising — Meta Pixel to measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect platform functionality.
9. Children's Privacy
MettaMe.ai is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a minor, please contact us immediately at [email protected] and we will delete the data.
10. International Data Transfers
Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside of Taiwan for the purposes described in this policy (e.g., AI model processing via US-based providers, email delivery). We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers in compliance with Taiwan PDPA requirements.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a prominent notice on the platform at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of MettaMe.ai after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
